Japanese line-up totaly different and Fuji cassettes are marketed in Japan under new name AXIA.

FR-I Super and FR-II Super use special coating technology. FR-I Super uses cobalt-modified Fine Beridox particles and FR-II Super uses Super-Fine Beridox particles.

FR-I Super and FR-II Super were revewied in Audio 87 magazine. FR-I Super was the best type I cassette and also was better then all type II cassettes reviewed. FR-II Super was one of the better type II cassettes. In the same survey Maxell XLII-S was the worst type II cassette.
