TDK D was a "work-horse" type I cassette. It was a basic type I that evolved from TDK LN and appreared first around 1972. Even as a basic tape it still offers reasonable performance. It was available in a variety of lenghts ranging from 30 to 180. In Japan starting from 1987 TDK D was sold under TDK AE name.
